The Bottled Imp - Episode 38
This episode, The Bottled Imp visits the historic city of Carcassonne, France, with it’s magnificent walss, winding roads, and beautiful monasteries.
In Carcassonne – base game, designed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, players take turns to lay tiles and continue the beautifully illustrated (by Anne Patzke), Middle Ages landscape. The winner of the game is the person who gains the most victory points. How do you gain victory points? By claiming various features such as the building of cities, roads, monasteries and even fields. Simple!
Plays 2 – 5 players and takes about 30 to 45 minutes to play. This base game version was published in 2014 by Z-Man Games although it was originally was released in 2000 and also includes the mini expansions The River and The Abbot.
Can you match the correct tiles to create a vast and stunning landscape? Can you build and claim more features than your fellow players? That is your challenge. Do you accept?
