So me and my brother got this movie at our local library and we thought this movie was going to be good but we did not like this movie. I gave it a 3/10 and my brother gave it a 1/10. There was a very little funny part in this movie. Like when every one but Winnie The Pooh put a picnic over the hole to capture the fake monster then Winnie The Pooh sees honey at the picnic then falls into the hole. Then Winnie starts to call for help then every one comes into the hole to help Winnie out but the cant get out by their self. Only piglet was out of the hole so he grabs a rope then the others say give the other side and pule when we say pule the rope so piglet rips the rope into five pieces and the others were mad. so that's all bye.

Let me start out by applauding the animators for this film. They refrained from using CG. In a world populated with one CG movie to the next, with total disregard for anything hand drawn, I'm quite happy to see it return again in a somewhat enjoyable little movie. First you off to watch this short called The Ballad of Nessie. It follows this dragon girl whose home is taken over by some Scottish guy. It was okay but wasn't anything special. Then Winnie the Pooh starts up and it's told in storybook form (not sure if the others followed this strategy or not). Then Winnie the Pooh wakes up with the munchies and wants a pot of honey. He searches Hundred Acre Wood until he comes across the mentally depressed Eeyore who had lost his tail. So all the animals round up for a contest to replace his tail and the winner gets a pot full of weed.... er, I mean honey! Then Christopher Robin (a homeless kid who lives in a tree) takes off and leaves a note. Well, since the animals can't read, Owl concludes that he's been kidnapped by the Backson (reading off the words "Back Soon"). So they send off on a quest to capture the Backson and rescue Christopher Robin in a plan that only a bunch of dudes getting high would ever think up. The situations they get themselves into are quite funny, especially the whole scene where they are all stuck in a hole and it's up to Piglet to save them. Piglet is always scared, and not very bright so having him as your rescuer means you better just end it quick with something. This and the tail scene are probably the highlights of the film. It was really thought up well. The only thing I could have done without was the singing. I thought cartoons were done with that but apparently not. I wouldn't mind so much if the songs were good, but they weren't. But I guess it's padding to run the film's length a bit more. But hey, this is a good film to take the kids to and if nothing else, there's no CG. For that, I think the film deserves a big chunk of the box office grosses for. We need more hand drawn animated films!

"Winnie the Pooh" is not just another classic animated book transformed into a live action movie. Pooh and crew know exactly where they belong; in classic 2D animation leading to a flawless transcription of these characters to contemporary times. "Pooh" does not trying to impress anybody and avoids falling into modern day pop culture stereotypes, instead it is simpler than ever making no better way to spend an hour of authentic entertainment for all ages. The story follows the ideals of the original 1926 book by A.A. Milne originally made into animated productions starting in 1966 told in the definitive page by page storybook form. Narrated by John Cleese ("Monty Python"), Pooh (Jim Cummings, "Princess and the Frog") begins his day like any other. After sleeping in, he wakes up to an empty honey jar inevitably initiating a quest for honey. On the way he runs into Eeyore (Bud Luckey, "Toy Story 3") who is still as downtrodden as ever and misplaced his tail giving Pooh another task to complete. The issue is brought up with the rest of the gang; Tigger (Also Jim Cummings), Rabbit (Tom Kenny, "Meet the Robinsons"), Owl (Craig Ferguson, "How to Train Your Dragon"), Kanga (Kristen Anderson-Lopez), Roo (Wyatt Hall) and Christopher Robin (Jack Boulter). They decide to make it a contest to find Eeyore a replacement tail. After their creativity runs out, Christopher Robin goes missing sending the bunch into song as they find their friend, Eeyore's tail and "huny" for Pooh. Anyone who grew up with "Pooh" will be instantly transported back to a humbler time through this short and sweet snippet of flawless storytelling. The most important accomplishment of the film is staying true to its routes because of its ability to create context. What do I mean by context? Its simple; from its primary coloring, delicate characterization, stark banter, and tranquil plot, everything is coherently joint together. It is a franchise true to itself and is the best movie parents have had in years to take their little ones to. Its just plain old' harmless, straightforward fun without any unnecessary forced plot conflicts or hang-ups on contemporary spectacle. Many people may feel short-changed because of the hour runtime, even though this is part of what makes it what it is. This is not a monumental life changing film by any means; therefore, if you are expecting a film synonymous with "Toy Story 3" you will be very disappointed. In the contemporary eye of animated cinema "Winnie the Pooh" does not stand a chance at making money. A perfect little tale everyone young and old should see at some point because while "Pooh" will not make history, it is a historical flashback to the early days of cinema.

I was really excited when I heard this movie was going to be released, but on the day my mother took me to see it, all my hope for this movie was thrown out the window. "Winnie the Pooh" is absolute garbage from start to finish. The only positives I have about this film are the animation and the "Everything is Honey" sequence. That's it. The rest of it is trash. First of all, most of the characters, with the exceptions of Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and Christopher Robin, are completely unlikable and out of character; Especially Kanga and Roo. Rabbit and Owl switch roles and act very annoying. Piglet and Eeyore are abused throughout almost the entire movie because seeing characters getting tortured is funny. The voice acting, except Jim Cummings as Pooh and Tigger, is beyond lazy. Tom Kenny does a pathetic attempt as Rabbit. He's basically SpongeBob SquarePants in a rabbit costume. Most of the songs are terribly written and horribly sung as well. Like I said, the only song that had at least SOME effort put into it was "Everything is Honey." The story is all over the place and at some points, they shove it off to the side to either make Eeyore and Piglet miserable or tell jokes that aren't even remotely funny. Ever since my young childhood, I grew up with Disney's adaptation of "Winnie the Pooh." This version of it spits on the legacy of these beloved characters and puts them into a movie that absolutely butchers them. I cannot believe how many positive reviews this film has gotten. Disney didn't even try or care to make it good. They just recycled plot elements from previous movies and made it as sloppy as possible. If you have a young kid who loves "Winnie the Pooh," I recommend "Piglet's Big Movie" or any of the others starring the character. They are so much better than this.

As a young child, Winnie The Pooh was almost part of my lifestyle. I remember watching all of the tapes and even buying Winnie the pooh video games (as a note I do not remember the original Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh if I even saw it, I just remember the cartoons). When I heard they were creating a sequel, which wasn't made of puppets or 3D animation, I was ecstatic. When it came to the local theater, I jumped at the opportunity to go and see it. What I got however, was just disappointing. I won't deny it, the animation was great. Its a nice change to see a 2D movie in a world where 3D animation is all the rage. It is very colorful and really pleases the eye. Characters like Piglet and Pooh have never looked better. However, I felt this movie wasn't a proper Winnie The Pooh movie. The story felt very empty for one. This movie is made up of stories left over that weren't used in the other Pooh movies, and honestly, I feel they were left for a reason. They weren't very entertaining in my opinion and didn't give me the satisfaction I was hoping for. The main story of the gang trying to get back Christopher Robin was good, but nothing above average. However, the rest of the movie felt lacking. Another problem is the extremely short time span which is just over an hour. It felt more of a t.v. episode then a movie. The only scene I truly loved was Pooh's honey fantasy (without giving out any spoilers to anyone who hasn't seen it). I don't know if I just grew up, but I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I also understand this is made for younger children, but I am reviewing it in a former Winnie The Pooh fan's point of view. If you are thinking of bringing your young child to this, I would due to its short time span and very simple story line that is easy to follow and nice moral at the end. However, if you want to reminisce of your early childhood, I don't think this movie will satisfy your cravings.
