This series is not my favorite from Briggs, but still good. The book and narration are good and I am glad to finally see Anna come into her own.

There are a handful of narrators who make the audiobook so much better. In this case, Holter Graham did an awesome job.You could distinguish between all of his characters and he brought just the right tone of voice to each of the characters as the situation dictated.Briggs had me riveted from the beginning until the end and I can't wait for the next in the series to see what comes of everything that happened in this book.A great listen for sure.

Read/Listened for Fun (Paperback/Audible)Overall Rating: 5.00Story Rating: 5.00Character Rating: 5.00Audio Rating: 5.00 (not part of the overall rating)First Thought when Finished: Fair Game by Patricia Briggs was my favorite in the series so far!Quick Thoughts:It was a great mix of mystery, romance (a totally inappropriate "bow chica bow bow" moment that was immediately called out by Anna so that made it OK), and momentum forward in the overall storyline. All around FANTASTIC! I didn't even knock off for that "wait where is the next one" ending.Audio Thoughts:Narrated By Holter Graham / Length: 9 hrs and 57 mins Holter pretty much nails it again! I really loved his narration, pacing, and emotion. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing Charles voice!Part of my Read It, Rate It, File It, DONE! Reviews

I really wanted to LOVE this book.Perhaps it is the narrator, whom does a good job, I just have personal issues about not being able to get into his reading.I VERY MUCH like Briggs's "Mercy Thompson" series and Lorelei King just captivates me with her reading of that series.Mercy's world is just more captivating for me, both in print and in sound. The Alpha & Omega series, especially this particular story, gets bogged down with Charles's/Brother Wolf's testosterone and jealousy. It gets to the point where I shout "ENOUGH already!!"The characters, ESPECIALLY Charles, are nearly paralyzed by his blind "needs."Over and over again the minute descriptions of every twitch of jealousy and rage really drag down this tale in the otherwise terrific world Briggs has created.Maybe just let this narrative go and concentrate on more Mercy tales?

I really enjoy watching the relationship between Anna and Charles develop.it is great to see him vulnerable, and sometimes in ways that surprise me.I also like Anna's growth as she discovers her strengths.

It was good but I wanted a little more about the two main characters relationship.

Rape and abusearetired tropes to "create" strong female characters. Some women are strong and survive, some women are strong and don't survive, but rape didn't make them strong. I'm disappointed beyond words in Briggs. She should be ashamed.

It is a rainy day and I am enjoying listening to light urban fantasy.I have come to like Anna and Charles, probably not as much as I enjoy, Mercy but the stories are still good.I think Fair Game was better than Hunting Ground but it still sits between 3 and 4 stars. This one is probably closer to 4 stars. The sense of righteous vengeance and justice in the ending was very satisfying and this story provided a bit more insight into the world that Patricia Briggs has created. It is unfortunate that justice does not always prevail as well against evil in the real world.
