The 1997 WWF Gang Wars

The original Nation included leader Faarooq, Crush and Savio Vega, and by the time mid 1997 came around, the cracks began to form within the group. Savio Vega and Crush ended up leaving the faction in order to lead their own groups, the DOA (Disciples of Apocalypse) and Los Boricuas. The Nation of Domination was rebuilt by Faarooq, and so the three factions (or gangs) began feuding with eachother. Also in 1997, 3 other factions were introduced to WWF audiences; The Hart Foundation, The Truth Commission, and D-Generation X. While the Truth Commission would begin a rivalry with the DOA, the Harts and DX were mostly kept away from the Gang Wars storyline. As time went on though, DX would use The Nation of Domination in order to weaken the Hart Foundation, leading to a few Harts vs Nation matches just before Survivor Series 1997.
