I tried different days and times to listen to this book. I got about 2hrs in total, but cannot stand to listen to it anymore. the writer makes these fairly simple concepts so confusing by bouncing ideas and stories everywhere, which makes it's really hard to follow. I found my mind consistently wandering off while trying to listen.

Unlike 12 rules to life, which was based on much more factual evidence, this seemed more of a dialog based on experiences. Though that maybe suitable for some and the author has definitely achieved a level were he's opinions are respected, I'm just not into that type of read.

Incredible inspiring book. I love that it's narrated by Dr. Peterson himself. Highly recommended this book to anyone of his fans!

very very boring. pretty far into the book and i still have no idea what it's about. he says not like naught and a lot of things like that. whatever region he's from the dialect is annoying. he's talked about Harry Potter, Jesus, lab rats. quickly start wandering and or going cross eyed. do not attempt to listen to this at the gym.

Thank you Jordan Peterson I enjoyed it as much as 12 rules for life. Maps of meaning was a tough one but I see how they all compliment each other. I hope my younger brother will benefit from this book as well. I never realized how complex yet beautifully simple the stories in the Bible are. I do feel awoken to many concepts I was unaware of like the eye at the top of the pyramid. I’ve awoken to a new framework around life, I see myself as a community of past present and future mes that will all work together towards a primary imperative. My mind feels like a sponge!

I couldn't have gotten through this book without hearing it directly from the author being spoken. I did not know much of Dr Peterson before the last year but only through his daughter because of how she was able to deal with her ailments through diet. once I started listening to the podcasts and watching the YouTube videos I was completely enthralled by and captured by Dr Peterson's words insight and guidance. guidance I did not know I needed. I have ferociously consumed YouTube videos lectures interviews and all three books of Dr peterson. I am truly grateful this man exists.

I like Dr. Peterson, but he went on & on, often my mind wondered. I will go back to his book, one chapter at a time.

Jordan talks in a way that makes you think deeper about the simple things in life. His book was incredibly insightful and I think can help make me a better man.

If this were brilliant or groundbreaking, I might be able to separate the work from Mr. Peterson's other morally broken public statements and misstatements. After all, art can have a life of it's own outside of its creator. But this only looks like he has tightened the loop of his habit of saying obvious helpful things to soften you up for the poison that comes next. It's too bad he doesn't follow his rule #3 in his own work: "Do not hide unwanted things in the fog."

Dr. Peterson distills and unpacks many important concepts discussed by great philophers and provides concrete examples from his many years of clinical practice, extensive research and mentoring.

Great read IF you abandon your ego at the start and use the book as a means to examine yourself and the world around you. At times I found myself disagreeing as a liberal leaning individual but this book is still immensely important and beneficial.

Dr. Peterson has written another awesome literary treasure...ok, a bit dramatic, but I think it has some truth. This book humbled me. It showed me that there is more to be seen and known about the world and how to navigate it and the people around it. It helps bring another piece of the puzzle. I hope it helps bring enlightenment and knowledge and joy and humor as it did for me. Happy reading...or listening...or both as the case was with me.

I’m honestly amazed at how good and profound this book is. I read complex non fiction all the time, 80-100 books a year, 2-3 hours a day and whenever I read newer books it’s substance is okay. Beyond order, however, is both an easy read but also contains great examples on how to deal with life and become a better person. It even covers why you should want to be honest. This book is 10-30x better than the first one 12 rules on life. And the first one was pretty good actually. Definitely recommend reading this one for everyone except total dummies, and I recommend reading it more than once. I really hope JP will write more books because this is nothing less than truly remarkable.
